East Richmond parkrun is a free, weekly 5km community event held every Saturday morning at Ham Common Bicentennial Park in Richmond, NSW. It welcomes participants of all ages and fitness levels to walk, jog, run, volunteer, or simply spectate in a friendly, inclusive environment. Registration is free and once completed, it is valid worldwide for any parkrun event. The event encourages social connection and physical activity without competition pressure, making it suitable for beginners through to advanced runners. Participants receive their times by email and can track their progress online, with milestone achievements rewarded by free t-shirts. Post-event, runners often gather for coffee to socialize and share their experiences, fostering a supportive community spirit. Parking is available on-site, and the event is aimed at promoting mobility, health, and wellbeing for individuals and the broader community.
