GreenWay parkrun in Haberfield, Inner West NSW, is a free, weekly 5km community event open to walkers, joggers, runners, and volunteers of all ages and abilities. Held every Saturday morning at 8:00am at Richard Murden Reserve on Hawthorn Parade, it’s a welcoming and inclusive event that encourages people to get active, connect with others, and enjoy the beautiful GreenWay corridor. No experience is needed, and participation is completely free—just register once on the parkrun website and you’re set for life. Whether you’re aiming for a personal best, want to walk with friends, or simply enjoy the atmosphere, GreenWay parkrun is for everyone. After the event, many participants head to a local café for coffee and a chat, making it a great way to build community and stay motivated. The course is flat and scenic, following the GreenWay’s urban green corridor, which links the Cooks River to Iron Cove. Whether you’re new to exercise or a seasoned athlete, GreenWay parkrun is a friendly, supportive way to start your weekend.
