Nantu Wama parkrun
About the Group
✨
Nantu Wama parkrun is a free, community-driven 5-kilometer event held every Saturday at 8 am in North Adelaide, specifically at Park 6, Nantu Wama / Lefevre Park near the corner of Lefevre Terrace and Tynte Street. It welcomes walkers, joggers, runners, volunteers, and spectators of all abilities, fostering a positive, inclusive, and supportive atmosphere with no time limits or pressure. The event encourages health, wellbeing, and social connection within the local community. Participants are encouraged to register online for a timing barcode, but the event remains accessible to first-timers and regulars alike. The Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP) supports the parkrun, highlighting its benefits in promoting community health, and often participates with additional social activities like morning tea after the run. Street parking is conveniently available nearby, and activities for families and non-runners are also welcomed, making it a vibrant weekly social and fitness gathering in inner Adelaide. Nantu Wama parkrun is part of a growing movement to connect people through local physical activity in a relaxed, fun setting.
