No Lights No Lycra Brunswick is a welcoming, inclusive dance community held every Wednesday night at 7:00pm in Brunswick, inner Melbourne. Located at Melbourne Dance Centre, 75 Weston Street, this weekly event invites people of all ages and backgrounds to dance freely in a dark, non-judgmental space. There’s no light, no lycra, no teacher, and no steps to learn—just music and movement. The atmosphere is relaxed, friendly, and completely focused on letting go, shaking off stress, and enjoying the physical joy of dancing without worrying about how you look.Participants are encouraged to wear comfy clothes, bring a water bottle, and dance at their own pace. The event is wheelchair accessible and celebrates diversity, making it a safe space for everyone to express themselves. Whether you’re looking for a fun workout, a way to meet new people, or simply a chance to unwind, No Lights No Lycra Brunswick offers a unique and uplifting experience. Entry is $10–$15, and no bookings are required—just show up and dance like nobody’s watching.
