About the Group

A free, fun, and friendly weekly 5k community event. Walk, jog, run, volunteer or spectate – it's up to you!

Queanbeyan parkrun is a free, weekly 5km community event held every Saturday morning at Queanbeyan River, 100 Moisset Street, Queanbeyan. It welcomes participants of all fitness levels—from walkers and joggers to seasoned runners—and encourages a friendly, inclusive atmosphere rather than competition. The event is designed to promote physical activity, community connection, and wellbeing, offering an accessible way for locals to get active together in a beautiful park setting. Registrations are done once through the parkrun website, making participation simple and flexible. Many participants also enjoy socializing after the run with post-event coffee catch-ups nearby. Queanbeyan parkrun’s course features a double out-and-back route along a concrete path beside the river, with some grass sections and gentle hills, suitable for strollers with some caution. The event supports all ages and abilities, fosters community spirit, and celebrates milestones with free t-shirts, making it a popular local and visitor activity. Queanbeyan parkrun is one of the select few Australian parkruns beginning with "Q," alongside Queens Domain (Tasmania) and Quinns Rocks (Western Australia), and is part of a global parkrun movement promoting health, fun, and social connection.
