About the Group

The Man Walk is a free weekly walk and talk for men aged 18 and over. Led by local volunteer “Manbassadors”, each walk provides a safe, welcoming space where blokes can connect, have a chat, and support one another.

The Man Walk Albury is a supportive walking group for men that meets every Sunday at 8:00 am, starting from Mr Benedict Cafe on Dean Street. The group encourages men of all fitness levels and ages (36+) to come together for a 45 to 60-minute walk, providing a safe, inclusive environment to walk, talk, and support each other. Its core purpose is to promote mental and physical health by fostering community, reducing isolation, and making it okay for men to openly discuss challenges they face. The Man Walk aims to create a positive, judgement-free space where men can connect regularly, improve wellbeing, and seek help if needed, without pressure or barriers. This initiative is part of a larger movement across Australia, contributing to men’s mental health and suicide prevention through regular physical activity and open conversation.Nearby, similar walks are held in Wodonga and many other locations across New South Wales, reflecting The Man Walk’s broad reach and community impact.
