The Man Walk Oak Flats
About the Group
✨
The Man Walk Oak Flats is a free weekly walking and talking group designed specifically for men aged 18 and over. Held every Saturday morning from 6:30 am to 8:00 am, the walk takes place along The Boulevarde in Oak Flats, New South Wales. Led by local volunteer “Manbassadors,” this group offers a safe, welcoming, and supportive environment where men can connect, share experiences, and support each other’s mental health and well-being through physical activity and conversation. The Man Walk aims to reduce social isolation among men and promote positive mental health by encouraging meaningful social interaction in a relaxed, judgment-free setting. All fitness levels are welcome, and participation is flexible to suit individual schedules. This initiative is part of a broader movement across the Illawarra region, including locations like Shell Cove and Wollongong, dedicated to fostering community and improving mental health through walking and peer support.
