Beginner Qigong and Tai Chi Classes
About the Event
This is an entry level class that caters for those who would like to learn Qigong and Tai Chi from the ground up! Learn the basic movement principles and a simple short form that will improve your balance, coordination, memory and confidence. Each class begins with Qigong, which focuses on relaxation, mindfulness and breathing techniques. We practice Tai Chi walking, learning how to create energy and space with every movement. We learn several Tai Chi postures including Part Wild Horses Mane and Cloud Hands, linking them with transitions that create the ebb and flow that are the foundations of Tai Chi practice.
What to expect
There is plenty of onsite parking, just follow the driveway to the back of the property. The hall is at the rear of the church. Wear loose, comfortable clothes and soft soled shoes. Although most classes are held inside, the church has beautiful grounds we can use, weather permitting.
