About the Group

Thanks to the Heart Foundation support, we're now gathering at Karkarook Park every Monday at 11am for our new walking sessions! Walking for just 30 minutes or more a day can have incredible health benefits! Not only does it lower the risk of heart disease, stroke, type 2 diabetes, and even some types of cancer, but it also has an amazing impact on our mental health! When we walk together, we're not just improving our physical health, we’re also boost our mood.

Heart & Sole Walking Group – Cheltenham, Bayside, VICLooking for a friendly, accessible way to get active, boost your mood, and connect with your local community? The Heart & Sole Walking Group meets every Monday at 11am at beautiful Karkarook Park in Cheltenham, supported by the Heart Foundation and run in partnership with Cheltenham Community Centre. Whether you’re new to walking or a regular strider, everyone is welcome—this group is open to all ages and fitness levels, and you can even bring your dog or pram along for the journey.Walks are at a relaxed, slow pace and typically last 45–60 minutes, making them perfect for beginners or anyone looking for a gentle, social way to improve their physical and mental wellbeing. Walking together isn’t just great for your heart health—it’s also a wonderful opportunity to make new friends, enjoy the outdoors, and feel part of a supportive local community.Joining is easy: just show up and take that first step with a group that’s passionate about helping everyone move more, feel better, and stay connected.
