Rhodes parkrun
About the Group
✨
Rhodes parkrun in Concord West is a free, weekly 5-kilometre community event held every Saturday at 8:00 am in Bicentennial Park, starting from Victoria Avenue near the Egret Pavilion. It welcomes all fitness levels — runners, joggers, walkers, volunteers, and spectators — creating a friendly and inclusive environment for people of all ages, including intergenerational participation. The scenic, flat course loops around a playground before following a waterfront path past Rhodes shopping centre, making it accessible for beginners and experienced participants alike. Registration is free and valid for any parkrun worldwide, with results emailed directly to participants to help track personal progress. The event is volunteer-run, supported by the City of Canada Bay, and encourages a post-run social catch-up at a nearby café, fostering community connection and wellbeing. Milestones are celebrated with free t-shirts, highlighting participation and achievement regardless of pace. Rhodes parkrun is part of a wider network of parkrun events across Australia, offering locals and visitors an easy way to engage in regular physical activity and social interaction without cost or pressure.
