✨
Stars of Tamworth Dance for Cancer is an annual charity event held in Tamworth, NSW, now celebrating its 11th year in 2025. Thirteen well-known local figures—including musicians, teachers, business owners, and media personalities—compete by learning and performing dance routines under the guidance of talented instructors from Tamworth City Dance Academy. The event features a glamorous James Bond "Casino Royale" theme and offers guests a night filled with dancing, food, raffles, auctions, and live entertainment, such as performances by the 2340 Big Band. This highly anticipated fundraiser attracts a sold-out crowd each year and has raised substantial funds, with previous years bringing in over $200,000. Proceeds support Cancer Council NSW’s research, prevention programs, advocacy, and comprehensive support services for individuals affected by cancer. The event takes place at the Tamworth Regional Entertainment and Conference Centre and provides an elegant social experience that combines community spirit with a vital cause aimed at working towards a cancer-free future. Tickets include a two-course meal with options for general and VIP access, enhancing the evening's appeal.
