Pound fit is a low-impact, music driven workout, using light weight drum sticks, you feel the beat and drum in various different rhythms and positions, improving coordination, strength and endurance. Bring your your energy and let’s make some noise! See you every Wednesday from 9:30AM to 10:30AM! ✅Drums Supplied 🥁

Based at the Springfield Lakes Community Centre (53 Springfield Lakes Boulevard), this vibrant, weekly session is designed especially for older adults—welcoming those 60+ and First Nations peoples 50+—to connect, move, and have fun together in a supportive, age-friendly environment.Pound Fit is a unique, full-body workout set to music, where participants use lightweight drumsticks to drum along with the beat in a variety of rhythms and positions. It’s a low-impact, energizing class that improves coordination, strength, and endurance while keeping things lively and social. Drumsticks are provided, so just bring your energy and enthusiasm—no experience necessary! The group meets every week, making it easy to build a regular fitness habit and forge new friendships along the way. The atmosphere is inclusive and welcoming to people with access needs, and all Thriving Seniors members are encouraged to join.
